Fred's Poetry Corner

Welcome! Glad you could make it!

I am a poet in a closet. I write poetry, and it sits locked away somewhere in the archives never to see the light of day. By the urging of my wife I have decided to pull them out for your enjoyment. No, I don't believe in putting up dreck; I happen to think that my poetry is rather good, as judged from the responses I get from the few that do make it to the eyes (or ears) of others.

But you will be the ultimate judge of whether my poetry should be proclaimed from the mountain tops, or dropped to the bottom of the sea. Please feel free to tell me so!

I write based on the spirit of the moment. I don't like the mechanics of slapping words together; I happen to strongly believe that they should flow forth, like the rapids, like a storm torrential, to sweep up your imagination and awe on a wildly spinning venture of intellectual and emotional ebullience.

And so, here they are! Read and Enjoy! WARNING: Some of my poetry may be extremely evocative, stirring the very primordial essence of the deep recesses of your mind, calling into question all you have come to know up to this point. If you find it so, this is intentional. For I have always been, and will forever be, the ruthless iconoclast that leaves no stone unturned, no sacrosanct point-of-view unchallenged, and no social convention torn asunder. You were warned!
