Night's Dawn

Why was the weeping so strong
in the autumn breeze so smoothly
over your face so lost
in the dawn of night

Why was the bathing so serene
like the lilies so soothing
floating in an effervescent flow
of love so calmly in flight

Why did I wait so long
for the infinite tides of love
forming the soul of your feet
in the liquid pool of life

Or did I care so alone
lighting the way of the footsteps
into the sunless autumn breeze
of enduring endless nights

Do I await for dawn
in the morning's song afloat
as the myst falls a tree
standing in the way of the sea

Can I wait for love
caressing the dawn of twilight
placing filigrees your heart
lying naked by the sand.
